Well, first LJ entry ever, but here's my news....

As of Wednesday, February 16th, I'll be starting work at Black Ops Entertainment in Santa Monica, California. I'll be working on the networked-multiplayer code for an "urban street-ball"-style Basketball game for the Playstation 2 & XBox.

That's right, my East-coast, "only twice been South of DC", hockey-playing ass will be relocated to land of trees with leaves bigger than my head. As such, within 16 days, I have to:

Pack up about 5 years of accumulated crap
Mention to my current boss that I probably won't be showing up after next week.
Mention to all the people I know around here that I probably won't be around very much.
Did I mention I have crap to pack? Oh, and a cat. And a turtle, and a thenymph.</span>

At least they're putting me up for a month before I actually have to find somewhere to live.

But, still, waaah... I get a phone call, receive a FAX at Staples, and then send it back, and life as I know it is about to get totally weird...
