<p>As of Wednesday, February 16th, I'll be starting work at <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/rte/blackops.com">Black Ops Entertainment</a> in Santa Monica, California. I'll be working on the networked-multiplayer code for an "urban street-ball"-style Basketball game for the Playstation 2 & XBox. </p>
<p>That's right, my East-coast, "only twice been South of DC", hockey-playing ass will be relocated to land of trees with leaves bigger than my head. As such, within 16 days, I have to: </p>
<ul>
<li>Pack up about 5 years of accumulated crap</li>
<li>Mention to my current <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/rte/coat.com">boss</a> that I probably won't be showing up after next week. </li>
<li>Mention to all the people I know around here that I probably won't be around very much. </li>
<li>Did I mention I have crap to pack? Oh, and a cat. And a turtle, and a <span class='ljuser ljuser-name_thenymph' lj:user='thenymph' style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='http://thenymph.livejournal.com/profile'><img src='http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif' alt='[info]' width='17' height='17' style='vertical-align: bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='http://thenymph.livejournal.com/'><b>thenymph</b></a></span>.</span></li></ul>
<p> At least they're putting me up for a month before I actually have to find somewhere to live.</p>
<p>But, still, waaah... I get a phone call, receive a FAX at Staples, and then send it back, and life as I know it is about to get totally weird...</p>
